This is the first book out of the Murder Club series that I didn't enjoy. Yuki - her storyline didn't add anything to plot. What character would you cut from Unlucky 13? Who would you have cast as narrator instead of January LaVoy? And OMG he remembered to bring her shoes! Really?!!

Homicide detective at a murder scene comforting the victim's relative and discovers she's late to an event so her hubby drops by with her dress. What could James Patterson and Maxine Paetro have done to make this a more enjoyable book for you?īetter writing. The narrator made this group of professional women sound like giddy teenage girls, excited about everything. What could have made this a 4 or 5-star listening experience for you?Ī different narrator. What Happened to the Women's Murder Club? January LaVoy does a good job narrating the book. Maxine Paetro and James Patterson should have published three separate books, rather than jamming them together. This book is like reading three separate novellas rather than one unified book. One of the stories gets a rather short climax as a result of trying to cram so much into the novel. All these stores are developed well and kept me listening wanting to know what would happen in each of them next. Cindy has been unable to warn Lindsay so Cindy sets out to track Morales.

Cindy finds out that Morales is back in San Francisco and she believes she is after Lindsay. Cindy is after Mackie Morales, you will remember her as a psychopath that got away in a prior book in the series. The pirates are killing some passengers every hour until the cruise line pays them ransom. The cruise ship they are on was taken over by pirates. She and Conklin are assigned to a case of people being blown up randomly by “belly Bombs.” Yuki and Brady were married and are off on their honeymoon. Lindsay Boxer is trying to balance her work with her home life with new child Julie.

There are three different storylines that are all intertwined and affected each partly differently. The exception was Claire she was working with Boxer. This time, they all had their own cases to worry about. The group usually works together to figure about a case. This book #13 in the Women’s Murder Club series is different than the others in the series.
